Third National Conference of Eparchy of Shamshabad is organized at Animation Renewal Centre, Panvel, with an aim to stabilize the newly declared Eparchy of Shamshabad. The National Conference mainly focuses to discuss and deal with proper enhancement of the newly erected Eparchy, for which Holy Father Pope Francis appointed His Lordship Rt. Rev. Raphael Thattil as its first Bishop. The Conference is expected to last till 15th November, 2017 and had begun from 13th November, 2017.
On 13th November, 2017, the programme began from 4:00 pm with the Holy Mass, after which all the delegates gathered for the Conference were assembled in the chapel of the ARC and thereafter, a procession of youth to the stage with the picture of St. Pope John Paul II, was arranged, which marked the divine faith of the young faithful in their missionary works. The inaugural function began at 5:15 pm by welcoming all the dignitaries to the dais, followed by a prayer by the youth from Jaipur. Welcome speech for the event was given by Rev. Fr. Francis Eluvathingal. The conference also concentrated to highlight the significant roles played by the young faithful to build up the Church, in a session with the theme ‘Youth: Witnessing Christ and Building the Church and the Society.”
Presidential address was given by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Raphael Thattil.Mr. Biju Dominic explained about the second and further generation and migrant youth, involving the problems faced by the migrated youth. A power point on Eparchy of Shamshabad and activities was given by Fr. Joseph Pulavellil. Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil, Fr. Abraham Tharmassery, Fr. James Anthikalam, Fr. Thomas Ezhikad, Fr. Lona Kallely, Fr. Thomas Vattukulam, Fr. Kuriachan Paul, Adv. P.T. Chacko, Fr. Thomas Karamel, Fr. Jeomon Kallery, were present for the conference on the first day.
