Kazhakkootam Forane has been established as a new Forane of Thiruvananthapuram Diocese, by dividing Puthikuruchi and Petta Foranes of the Diocese. His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Soosa Pakiam of Thiruvananthapuram inaugurated the event in which the Diocese received a new Forane officially. The 7 parishes under the Petta Forane will now be a part of the newly erected Forane.
As reported by catholicvox.com, His Grace Archbishop Dr. Soosa Pakiam remarked that “The faithful should always have the face of love and kindness and the faithful should try to reach out and be a part of activities which are Christ-oriented.”
Former DGP Alexander Jacob, Kerala University Professor vice Chancellor Dr. S. Kevin, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese His Grace Dr. R. Christudas, New Forane Vicar Fr. George Paul, Sr. S. Stella, Dr. Antony Roodolph, addressed the gathering.
