Abuja: Christianity Persecution is at its worst again in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians have been killed in an attack by Fulani Herdsman, an ultra-Islamic tribal group in the state of Plato. The attack took place on January 8. The attackers attacked the Christian village of Kulbane, killing many people. On the same day, the students abducted four seminary students from Major Seminary, located in Katuna State. The police have yet to give any indication of where they were taken. Between 10:30 am and 11:00 pm on January 8, armed men attacked the Good Shepherd Major Seminary and shot and killed four seminary students.
Police have launched an investigation in the next few days, but no information has been received about the seminary students. Although no further details have been revealed about the attackers, the reason behind the recent kidnappings is that the religious motive behind the abduction is believed to be religious. According to a recent report by the Christian charity Open Doors, Nigeria ranks 12th on the list of countries with the highest number of Christian persecution cases.
