Kuzhikkattussery: The National Thanksgiving and celebration of the canonization of St. Maram Thresia occurred on 16th November 2019 at Kuzhikkattussery. The parade, which began with a prayer of thanksgiving, began at 2 pm. The cardinals, archbishops, bishops, and clergy marched to the main altar of Thrissur. Mother Udaya was handed over as the Superior General of the Holy Family Congregation. Thrissur Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhathu and Bishop Mar Pali Kannukkadan welcomed the diocese of Iringalakkuda ahead of the feast. The Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, Cardinal Mar George Alancheri became the chief celebrant of the Holy Qurbana.
Cardinal Oswald Gracias, President of CBCI and Archbishop of Apostolic Nuncio Along with George Panikkulam, 30 Archbishops and Bishops participated in the liturgy. Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis had conveyed the message of Catholicism to the Catholic Church. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was in the Syro-Malabar rite consisting of prayers and hymns in Syriac, English, Hindi, and Malayalam.
CBCI President Cardinal Oswald Gracias inaugurated a public meeting. Cardinal Mar George Alencherry presided over the function. Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis inaugurated the housing programs. Speaking on the occasion, Superior General Mother Udaya expressed her sincere gratitude and sought blessings for the congregation’s future endeavors. Minister VS. Sunil Kumar inaugurated the charity projects and the hospice support schemes.
Archbishop Mar George Panikulam commissioned the release of the books prepared by Holy Family Communications. Archbishop Mar Andrews inaugurated the scholarship projects.
