Vatican City: Today is the day that Pope Francis has called on people around the world to pray for deliverance from the coronary pestilence. The Pope has specifically called on the global community to fast and pray and engage in acts of mercy on this day. In a statement issued on May 2, the Human Fraternity Higher Committee invited the pope to be a part of celebrating Prayer Day on a global scale. The pope later accepted the invitation.
Today we can fast and engage in philanthropic work to save the world from the coronary pestilence. Pray to God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit on this world.
Our brothers and sisters in other religions around the world who are participating in fasting and charitable activities for this purpose may submit to God. For them, our Lord died on the cross and was resurrected. He wants everyone to be saved and to know the truth. For there is only one God, a mediator between God and men: the man Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2: 4-5).
