Changanassery: A heartfelt tribute to the late Archbishop Mar Joseph Pavathil in the New Year. Organized by the Archdiocese of Changanassery at St. Mary’s Metropolitan Parish Hall, the Nawathi Conference was held to express gratitude for the contributions rendered by the Church, the community and the community. Hundreds of people, including clergy, clergy, nuns, fond representatives, religious and political figures, Pavil’s father’s family and various parishioners greeted the gathering.
Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, Cardinal Mar George Alencherry inaugurated the conference. Major Archbishop said that Mar Joseph Powhath is a treasure that has been given to God by the Church of India. It is commendable that the efforts of Mar Pavadu with diligence and caution in making the Syro-Malabar Church the standard of worship today are commemorated. Mar Alencherry added that Mar Pavithra, who contributed immensely to bring the Archdiocese of Changanacherry to the forefront of the mission, is also a source of strength for the church’s communion in Kerala.
Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis Catholic Bawa, the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, delivered the Blessed Sermon. Archbishop Mar Joseph presided over the meeting. The Archbishop said that Mar Pavatham is a noble person who has a true vision and a deep vision of the church. The archdiocese of Changanacherry was submitted to Mar Pavathil by Mar Perundotam, Vicar Generals and Curia members.

Pope Benedict XVI Vatican General Mon. Thomas read the song. Mar Thomas Pavathil handed over the documents of the construction of 90 houses to the needy under the Color A Home Scheme as a new memorial. Mon. Joseph Vaniyapurakkal, Mon. Philips Vadakkalam and Chancellor Various committees headed by Isaac Alancherry and Procurator Fr Cherian Karikkompil led the program.
