Beirut: Public Holy Mass began in Christian churches in Lebanon for the first time two months later. Believers were given the opportunity to participate in the sacrifice following the withdrawal of the restrictions imposed in March following the Corona epidemic. Believers participated in the Holy Mass at St. George’s Cathedral in Beirut yesterday, celebrating the social distance. After the use of the sanitizer and the body temperature measurement, the believers were admitted to the temples.

With the restrictions lifted, the government has allowed believers to participate in religious services such as Holy Communion on Sundays and Friday observances, such as social distance, to limit the number of believers.

For the first time in recent history, public prayers, including Easter rituals in Lebanon, have been held in secluded churches. Even during the civil war of 1975-90, believers were not allowed to go to places of worship. Lebanon, with 40% Christianity, is one of the most Christian-populated nations in the Middle East. There are currently 809 coronation cases in the country.
