NEW DELHI: India’s national channel, Doordarshan, will broadcast live events on Christmas, including the Mass of the Vatican and the message of Pope Francis. The Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on December 24 from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm. This is from 1.55 am to 4 pm Indian time. It will be available on the channel live.
The pope’s message will be from 4:30 pm to 5 pm on the 25th. Both events will be live on DD National Channel. Doordarshan’s other local channels will air the midnight Mass at 25 am and the Pope’s message in the evening. Prasar Bharti said in a press release that Doordarshan’s web streaming and YouTube streaming will be available in real-time.
