St. Alphonsa Forane Church became a divine platform for the Western Region KEY Army meet, which was held on 27th August, 2017 at 2 pm. The Western Region KEY Army meet is organized twice in a year by the KEY Army of Kalyan Diocese, to boost and encourage the youth to unite in the name of the Lord Almighty to work for the development of the Church.
The meet commenced with a prayer song and an action song which was sung and led by the Vasai KEY Band that made the aura more divine and energetic. Mrs. Mary Chaakunny from Goregaon gave a wonderful session on “Confession and Sin” for an hour, which enlightened the youth gathered in the church about the significance of confession in life and also promised to keep themselves away from sins. After that, Fr.Mathew Adampakkallil, parish priest of Vasai Church led the adoration. Mr. Jeevan, a member of KEY Army from Vasai (w) asserted that “KEY Army Meet was a necessary meet for us (youth) to enlighten ourselves to fight for our souls and receive grace from God.”
The Western Region KEY Army includes Vasai, Borivali and Malad Foranes. Around 60-70 youth participated in the meet, which longed till 4 pm.
