Holy Father Pope Francis while addressing the children of “The Little Prince”, a home for children without families in the Peruvian city of Puerto Maldonado, conveyed them to be the little stars that light up the night. His Holiness Pope Francis also invited the young kids to be the light of hope for those who live there now and highlighted that young people are a reflection of the Child Jesus.
As reported by Vatican Radio, Holy Father Pope Francis remarked that “Child Jesus is our treasure. You children are his reflection, and you too are a treasure for all of us, the most precious treasure that we have, and one that we are called to guard.” Then His Holiness Pope Francis asked their forgiveness “for the times when we adults have not cared for you.”
His Holiness Pope Francis concluded his remarks by expressing his gratitude towards Fr. Xavier, the director of the Home, for his efforts to give the children there a better life.
