Rome: The Christian community around the world has joined together in the Prayer of Pope Francis in the context of Corona. Vatican Time 12 pm (Indian time yesterday at 4.30 pm), millions of believers from their homes prayed for heavenly intercession for their Father. Prayers were raised in seminaries, monasteries and bishop houses. The Bishops of the various Apostolic Churches, both within and outside India, gathered together in prayer. The Pope made his prayer in the spirit of the human race in front of the pestilence.
In his brief introduction to the Pope’s brief introduction before the Vatican prayers, he referred to the universality of this prayer. Christians today pray like children who are confident in their Father. The pope said that although the prayer was repeated several times a day, the churches were praying together for God’s mercy at this time when the coronavirus pestilence was testing the human race. The pope has repeatedly appealed to all in every church, community, language, culture and age group to pray in one voice to save humanity from this disease.
The Church particularly commemorates the feast of the humble consent of the Holy Mary to the incarnation of Jesus in submission to the will of God. The pope was praying that he would pray to the Father, humbly submitting to the Spirit of God and submitting to God in humble hands like Mary. Footage of the Pope’s prayer from the Vatican Library was broadcast live on international Catholic television channels.
