
Thiruvananthapuram: The Latin Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram, has warned that liquor shops in the state should not be opened during the lockdown period. Auxiliary Bishop, Dr. R. Christudas was speaking after inaugurating a dharna in front of the Secretariat against the opening of liquor shops under the auspices of Kerala Anti-liquor People’s Front.
It is doubtful whether the LDF manifesto of reducing the availability of alcohol in a phased manner will become a reality. As per the manifesto, the government should take measures to reduce the availability of alcohol in the state.
