The echoes of jingling bells and the melodies of the caroling groups of the youth of Powai Forane reverberated through the streets of Mulund, Powai and Vikhroli on 17th December, Sunday evening- it was a marvelous sight to behold!
As Christmas marks the end of a wonderful year of the numerous first-of-its-kind social, cultural and spiritual activities for Powai Forane Youth, the team under the guidance of the Forane Director Rev Fr. Shijo Parayil, decided to take it up a notch and end the year on a merry high note. This was how a fun-filled, memorable and a very public-centric event- Felice Natale- was conceptualized. Felice Natale, Latin for Merry Christmas, started from the Sardar Tarasingh Garden at Mulund at 5:30 pm. Next on the route was Hiranandani Galleria at Powai and the event ended at the Good Samaritan Mission Orphanage at Vikhroli. Through this event, in the form of carol singing, dances and flash mobs, at public places and an orphanage, the team has spread the most important message of Christmas- Birth of Jesus- to more than 700 general public! An important highlight of the event was a dance performance by the children of Gyaansathi, who enthralled the large audience with their flair and finesse.
Felice Natale, organized to spread the Joy of Christmas and the Message of the Birth of our Savior, was a raging success. It was yet another successful endeavor of the Forane Youth Council to bring together all the youth of Powai Forane in love and friendship.
