Vatican City: Polish President Andrzej Duda will meet the Pope at St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City, on May 17 as part of the centenary celebrations of Pope John Paul II. The Polish Ambassador to the Vatican, Janus Kotansky, is in charge of the centenary celebrations. The Archbishop of Warsaw has specifically invited Cardinal Casimir Nice to the Vatican to participate in the sacrifice of gratitude.

He said he was inviting believers around the world to participate in the Divine Sacrifice of Pope Francis in Rome on the morning of May 17, and that the Polish pilgrims would make a pilgrimage to Rome to thank the world. John Paul II was born on 18 May 1920 in Vadovice, Poland.
