Thiruvananthapuram: The Malankara Catholic Church says that unity, integrity and the utmost importance of India are first and foremost matters. The Synod pointed out that the growing communalism in the country is a matter of great concern and that there is a need for enhancing the coexistence between different religious groups. The country cannot be a venue for religious segregation. Unity in diversity is the beauty of India. We have taught it to the world through the country’s unique constitution and the noble culture that exists here. This culture and the constitution must exist here.
The central government should be open to all sections of the public on public issues. A peaceful solution to any issue is needed. Violence will never be a solution. The valuable contributions made by various faith communities and minorities in the growth of India should not be overlooked. There is a need for open dialogue and mutual respect between different religious beliefs. For this purpose, special programs will be set up in the Church under the auspices of the Church and more will be included in the clerical training.
The Central Government’s move to legalize the destruction of six-month-old unborn babies has been a major blow to our culture of upholding the value of life. The government should withdraw this step. The Sunnahdos pointed out that the development of nature and human-centered nature preservation are most desirable.
