New York: Catholic theologian Charles Kamosi has left the party to protest the Democratic Party’s position on abortion. Kaposi said he resigned from the board of the Democrats’ Pro-life of America, saying the party was in an environment where abortion was not good. He is a professor of ethics at Fordham University. Kaposi expressed anger at the prospect of presidential candidates expressing concern over abortion.
“It is regrettable that party leaders support a wish that was not supported by even 13 percent of the population,” he said. This year, no candidate, Petebutti Zieg, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Andrew Yang, is in favor of restricting abortion. Kaposi said he would not vote for the Republican Party and would join the American Solidarity Party. The American Solidarity Party is a party that advocates for the protection of the unborn child.
